How you'll progress

We look for people who ultimately have the potential to become partners in the firm. A significant percentage of our partners did indeed start as Bond Pearce trainees, so ambitious individuals find plenty of role models!

The firm can provide you with all the training and development opportunities you'll need to progress your career. We take a structured approach, which means that we set benchmarks for the performance that is expected for the different stages of your development, as well as regular appraisals and feedback so that you know whether you are on track. And this approach doesn't stop when you qualify either. All our lawyers know what is expected of them if they want to be an Associate or Partner and we are open and honest about prospects for advancement.

We also recognise that not everyone wants to be a Partner and so we provide alternative ways for people to contribute and be rewarded.

We offer four training seats, each of which lasts six months. Despite this short timeframe, trainees quickly find that they're treated very much as part of the team. There's real work to be done from the day you arrive.
