Lending
YOU specialise in acquisition finance, lending to clients through complex structured transactions. You complete deals across the UK and beyond. But you instruct lawyers only from the City of London. Why?
Lawyers Bond Pearce maintain a strong presence in the City, but the firm's roots in regional capitals now support a thriving, expert practice in those legal specialisms formerly regarded as the exclusive domain of London lawyers.
"We've successfully dispelled scepticism about the competence of firms outside the Square Mile to do this work," Graham Jeffries, acquisition and project finance expert at Bond Pearce, says.
"We know what we're talking about and we can demonstrate that our lawyers are as experienced and accomplished as any within the City Bars."
Bond Pearce has spread its wings to offer expertise in five key areas of lending - acquisition (or leverage) finance, asset-based lending, project finance, property finance and ship finance.
"Each area has subtle differences and different perceptions," Graham says. "It means dealing with the gamut of lenders from stock financiers to major financial institutions.
"We're also instructed by an increasing number of finance directors about their borrowing needs."
Graham's team has worked closely with a number of clients in developing new products and initiatives involving asset based lending facilities. And in common with other colleagues is a member of the Association of Business Recovery professionals and the Society of Advanced Legal Studies.
Bond Pearce acts for clearing and secondary banks, asset-based lenders, project financiers and borrowers across a wide range of sectors, especially in the "new economy".
"We enjoy panel appointments with a number of the leading financiers in this area working on domestic and cross border transactions including private company acquisitions, management buy-outs, management buy-ins and other institutional buy-outs," Graham says.
"Our focus is on delivering solutions to issues encountered in transactions, offering pragmatic and commercial advice."
