Planning Regeneration and Environment
The Bond Pearce Planning and Regeneration team comprises 16 lawyers and is nationally recognised in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession 2010 as a market leader.
Our team has extensive experience advising on complex and diverse planning matters, with particular specialism in infrastructure, compulsory purchase, highways, environment and property development matters.
The team acts for private sector clients, local authorities, government departments and public bodies such as The Homes and Communities Agency. Its many years' experience of working on major regeneration and redevelopment schemes is now being brought to bear on a number of significant infrastructure projects requiring applications to be submitted to the Infrastructure Planning Commission including Round 3 Offshore Wind Farm schemes.
Some of the high profile matters the team has recently acted on include:
- a large waste to energy scheme in Nottinghamshire;
- the Section 106 Agreement for the first zero carbon development in the UK;
- a Compulsory Purchase Order for a waste recycling centre in Berkshire;
- major compensation claims for schemes such as CrossRail, the Olympics and Channel Tunnel Rail Link.
Leading members of the team include:
- Richard Guyatt (major projects, planning and compulsory purchase);
- John Houghton (major projects and environment); and
- Jonathan Bower (planning and compulsory purchase);
All of who are partners are recognised as national practitioners in their specialist fields. They are supported by senior associates Sarah Holmes (environment) and Vicky Redman (planning) who are also nationally recognised practitioners; together with an extensive team of experienced junior specialists.
