IN the changing regime of professional indemnity, one priority remains unaltered - the need for the earliest possible resolution of claims.

That goal of swift action is shared by claims managers at insurance companies and the increasing number of professional firms dealing with complaints themselves.

"We have a profound understanding of the ethos and culture of the insurance market and we've anticipated the direction that disciplinary and legal policy is headed," Ian Peacock, of Bond Pearce, says.

Bond Pearce employs more than 30 specialist lawyers who deal with the defence of negligence claims. The expertise is available to professionals across the spectrum - from accountants to architects and from brokers to Solicitors.

"We've acquired great experience in this area going back more than 30 years. For example on Solicitors claims we've advised the Law Society, the Solicitors' Indemnity Fund and now open market insurers," says Ian.

"And our knowledge of the legal and evolving regulatory framework has given us an enviable track record of delivering quality advice to professional indemnity insurers.

"Crucially, we can assess a claim quickly and advise a client how to move promptly to resolve the issue."

Bond Pearce believe their legal advice bears favourable comparison with any offered by large City firms. But a competitive pricing structure means clients can enjoy genuine value for money, a factor that may prove especially attractive to professionals dealing directly with negligence claims in the new post Clementi regime.

"We're rapidly obtaining a formidable reputation in the market place while still delivering unrivalled value for money," Ian says. "And our flexible working practices enable us to deliver the resources needed in any UK location.

"The law is the means, not the end. Our aim is always to understand a client's objectives and to prioritise the issues in order to deliver the best solution for our client's - in the shortest possible time."
