We have one of the country's largest dispute resolution practices, with over 120 lawyers. We have acted in a variety of major disputes in the education sector with particular experience in the areas of EU funding, franchising and student disputes.
We have a range of specialists in relevant areas. Our expertise for HE and FE institutions includes:

  • occupational stress cases
  • claims against FE colleges arising out of franchising and EU funding issues
  • a claim under the Race Relations Act relating to the exclusion of a number of Afro Caribbean students by a technology college
  • student claims
  • advising an FE college on a judicial review application arising out of a claim for failing to educate.

We also have a nationally recognised professional indemnity practice. We have been appointed to the panel of AIG to deal with claims in the not for profit sector. This includes employee and student claims in the HE and FE sector.
