Tennis Challenge
Welcome to the 2009 Bond Pearce Southampton Property Tennis Challenge. The Challenge will take place during May, June, July and August 2009 with the finals following after the summer break on 10 September.
We hope that you will enjoy meeting new people, making new contacts and playing in the sunshine. We look forward to seeing you on a tennis court very soon!
Who can play?
The challenge is open to all standards of players and anyone involved in property across the region. There are two sections to the tournament: mens's doubles and mixed doubles.

What is the match format?
The initial round will be played in a round robin format. Each pair has been drawn into a group of 4/5 pairs and will need to try to arrange to play a match against each pair in their group between now and the end of August. Please go to our fixtures page to check which group you have been drawn into.
The winning pair (ie the pair that wins the most matches) from each group will then qualify for the semi finals which will be held on the finals day, 10 September, at the David Lloyd Club in Southampton. In the event that there is a tie at the end of the group stage, we will look to the result of the match between the two top pairs to decide which pair will qualify.
Each match should be played as the best of three sets with tie breaks where necessary.
When will the matches be played?
We are not imposing any deadlines for matches this year, save for an end date of 31 August. However, we would encourage you to start organising your matches as soon as possible to avoid a last minute rush and inevitable holiday clashes. We would anticipate most matches being played early evening during the week but, again, it is up to you to decide a mutually convenient time with your opponents.
Results
Please email in your results to tennis@bondpearce.com after each game so that we can keep track of the challenge. We will, in turn, update the website regularly to enable you to track your progress against other pairs. You will also receive an update email on the last Friday of every month.
The finals
The semi finals and finals for both competitions will be held at the David Lloyd club on Thursday 10 September 2009 and will be a free event.
Everyone is welcome to attend and support the finals and refreshments will be provided to players and supporters!
