We are committed to improving our environmental performance by reducing the carbon footprint of our business activities.
Everybody at Bond Pearce is encouraged to contribute in some way to reducing our carbon footprint. By engaging with other organisations and our clients we aim to raise awareness of the importance of sustainability.
Our objectives are to:
- integrate environmental considerations within our day-to-day business practices, establishing performance indicators, action plans and improvement targets
- comply with all relevant legislation
- share our environmental law knowledge with clients and suppliers
- consider the environmental impacts of the materials we purchase at all stages of their life cycle and to adopt a sustainable procurement policy
- reduce consumption and to promote the re-use of materials, the use of recycled materials and to encourage the recycling of waste in place of disposal
- reduce the environmental impacts of our transport use through adoption of a Green Transport Plan
- conserve energy through efficient use
- implement our environmental policy through attainment of BS8555: Environmental Management Systems for SMEs and achieve demonstrable environmental improvements.
In order to minimise our impact on the environment we review and monitor our supply
chains, our use of resources, waste generation, energy use and transport.
We began to monitor our carbon emissions for the first time last year and are pleased to report a reduction in our carbon emissions per employee from 3.42 to 3.21 tonnes of Co2; just over 6% reduction.
We are working to reduce our environmental impact by focusing on five key areas: paper consumption, printing and recycling; water use; energy management; business travel; catering.
To promote sustainable business we take a leadership role and support groups committed to "green" business practices.
