Nick is a partner with joint responsibility for the firm's restructuring and insolvency practice. He also has prime responsibility for our offering in Southampton and the South East.

Nick regularly acts for insolvency practitioners and for creditors and directors of insolvent companies. He has particular expertise in drafting and negotiating sale contracts for insolvency practitioners and draws on that experience when acting for buyers. He also has considerable experience of advising banks, invoice discounters and other asset based lenders on insolvency related issues.

Nick's recent experience includes acting for and advising:

• Begbies Traynor on the administration of Oil and Water Limited (a hazardous waste management company)
• RSM Tenon on the administration of Dantron Limited (a golf club operator
• Portland on the administration of Emote Games Limited (an online game publisher)
• a large charity on the creditors' committee of Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Limited
• a global investment company on various complex issues relating to the administration of Lehman Brothers International (Europe) including the calculation of its claim in the administration
• the buyer of a printing business from the administrators of the seller.

Nick is recognised as a leader in the field of restructuring and insolvency by Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession 2011 and is praised for his "frank and very commercial views" and for providing "real London quality in the provinces".

Nick is a licensed insolvency practitioner, Chairman of the Southern Region of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and a Member of Insol. He is also a regular speaker at conferences and training sessions.
