Sarah is a senior lawyer who has specialised in financial services at magic circle firm Linklaters following a period of post qualification experience in corporate insurance/FSA regulation at Clyde & Co.

Sarah has specialised in providing a broad spectrum of advice on financial regulation, UK and international, to financial institutions of all kinds, as well as energy market participants and other corporates.

Her experience includes:

• advising banks, broker dealers, hedge funds, custodians and investment managers on the requirements of FSMA, the FSA Handbook and EU Directives , including in relation to financial crime, payment services/e-money, shareholding disclosure and collective investment schemes
• providing authorisation and collective investment scheme  'perimeter' analysis and obtaining FSA Individual Guidance in relation to client activities and investment products
• undertaking all kinds of regulatory compliance work, including FSA authorisations, preparing and overhauling terms of business for banking, broker dealer and investment management activities, advising on product development and assisting with compliance/policy documentation, corporate governance matters and ARROW preparation
• providing senior regulatory support to major corporate transactions, including regulatory due diligence, change of control and regulatory capital aspects of M&A and re-organisation activity, as well as Part VII banking business transfers
• providing senior regulatory support to capital markets transactions, including financial promotion, prospectus and collective investment scheme issues
• advising on regulatory issues relating to mortgages, insurance and consumer credit, including securitisations
• advising on regulatory aspects of outsourcing/white label arrangements (including in relation to banking, mortgages and consumer credit)
• advising on cross border regulatory issues.

Sarah was noted in the IFLR1000 2010 review for financial regulation with one client commenting that she's "very pragmatic, gives top quality advice, and is very efficient".
