Sue is a consultant in our Insurance Professional Risks team. 

Sue has over 20 years experience in defending claims against professionals, including solicitors, barristers, surveyors, valuers and insurance brokers.  Sue is particularly known for her experience in acting for solicitors and their insurers in claims arising from many areas of practice including property, personal injury, company, litigation, wills and probate. She also defends claims against a variety of other professionals. Sue has a strong track record in dealing with multi party claims including having acted in the defence of 5 insurers and over 300 firms of solicitors in The Accident Group Litigation.  Sue was also involved in the large volume of claims by lenders against solicitors and valuers in the mid 1990's culminating in Bristol & West v Fancy & Jackson and the managed mediation of the Nationwide cases. She is now once again actively involved in defending professionals against the latest round of lender claims.  

Sue also is highly experienced in advising on all aspects of policy coverage, particularly issues involving dishonesty and aggregation.  She understands the sensitivity that is required and the conflicts that can arise when insurers consider such points.

Sue is recognised in Chambers & Partners for her fine reputation in defending solicitors and she is also recommended by Legal 500.
