The team has advised on a range of high profile developments, including town centre redevelopment, regeneration of former docklands, new hotels and broadcast studios.

Our real estate experts monitor constantly the changes to construction law and planning law that take place on a weekly basis.   Without that expertise, developments can stall. We can demonstrate that we've dealt with big schemes - and dealt with them on time.

Our Work

  • advising the French-owned Accor hotel group, which includes Novotel, Ibis and Etap chains
  • advising P&O Estates, developing a flagship 550,000 sq ft retail scheme at Drake Circus, Plymouth now sold
  • advising the developers of the Office Campus in Exeter and business parks in Gloucester and Somerset
  • working with Charterfield Asset Management Ltd, developing a business park in Worcestershire

We have substantial experience on complex overage and claw back arrangements in working for Defence Estates, on NHS land sales and for VT Group plc on the disposal of former shipyard sites. Our experience of working with HCA in the current difficult market has meant that we have prepared novel documentation on Carbon Challenge schemes, community management schemes, "Business Improvement District" type services, service charge arrangements for funding public realm improvements, and pump priming arrangements for delivery of key infrastructure.
