Bond Pearce

Our licensing team provides the full range of services needed for alcohol, entertainment and gambling licensing and unlike many firms cover England, Wales and Scotland.

Tim Davies, one of the UK's foremost licensing lawyers leads a team which has huge licensing experience before courts and licensing committees and in the day to day administration of licences for national chains.
Due to the depth and breadth of its experience our licensing team is able to respond quickly across all of our clients' requirements.  The team provides licensing advice and advocacy for all types of premises, as well as specialist commercial conveyancing assistance for licensed property acquisitions and disposals.

We advise on the day-to-day estate licensing administration requirements of a substantial number of national operators and also on emergency situations, as well as making substantive applications for new licences and variations.

We apply for new licences for new developments and businesses. We do this all over England ,Wales and Scotland.  Once licences obtained, we do everything to maintain them from handling variations, major and minor, management changes and transfers to defending existing licences when challenged informally or by way of review.
We analyse and alert clients to impending changes to licensing law and advise them on what steps can be taken to protect their business from new challenges or costs.

Clients also benefit from access to our database containing relevant information including licence conditions, hours for licensable activities (and opening hours if different), details of the approved plan and the DPS / PLH position.

We are at the forefront of advising clients on how to approach the changes to the Licensing Act 2003, a result of the Police and Social Responsibility Bill (currently working its way through Westminster) our advice in this area has including working with the National Casino Industry Forum to lobby the Home Office.
