Our team advises developers, contractors and consultants on all aspects of construction and engineering projects.  We have significant experience in advising on and preparing project documentation based on industry standard forms (JCT, FIDIC, ICE, NEC) but can also advise on bespoke arrangements when appropriate.  We have recently prepared a number of framework agreements for retail clients embarking on refurbishment and revamp programmes. 

We also carry out due diligence work for funders and purchasers of construction and engineering projects, either at the early pre-build stage or when a completed development is being transferred.

Our Work

  • advising New Look Retailers Limited on the latest expansion phase of its national distribution centre in Stafford, now one of the largest automated retail distribution centres in Europe and a project in which the team has been involved since the original construction and fit out of the centre in 2004
  • advising Carlsberg UK Limited on a number of demolition and plant contracts as part of the consolidation of its UK brewing operations, involving the closure of its site in Leeds and the expansion of its Northampton operations
  • carrying out due diligence for the purchasers of a number of major UK shopping centres, including reviews and reports on the package of construction documentation and associated security documentation.
